You will be responsible for overseeing the research process at PSFK &#8211; organizing resource management, where information is collected, how it is categorized, how it is used and/or distributed. You will be a main resource for the Labs and Editorial teams reporting to the President, Director of Consulting and Managing Editor.</p>
<p>You will be tasked with the creation of a network of researchers by refining PSFK’s network of scouts and existing writers as well as finding new researchers through PSFK readership. You will work to build the network into a community that we can leverage not only for research but for other tasks as well.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<p>Responsibilities</p>

<td width="100%">This is a full-time position supporting a Trends &amp; Strategic Insights team, which works across the portfolio of NBC Universal’s broadcast, cable and digital properties. The Trends &amp; Research Analyst will work closely with the team to assist in a broad range of day-to-day needs including media research, primary research and trends analysis.Specific responsibilities will include:</p>
<p>•Contributing to the creation of trends and research-based reports, presentations and films in support of Integrated Media research initiatives<br />
•Assisting in the creation and analysis of raw survey data<br />
•Assisting in the compilation of qualitative research findings from sources including our proprietary consumer panel<br />
•Mastering media research tools including Nielsen, Simmons, MRI, IAG and comScore and using these tools to run analyses as needed<br />
•Helping with designing/testing/analyzing qualitative and quantitative research on network programs, advertising campaigns, and consumers<br />
•Researching and compiling written and photographic support on pop culture and trends in entertainment, digital, retail and marketing<br />
•Assist team with various administrative needs</td>

<p>Qualifications/Requirements</p>

<td width="100%">Position Requirements:Candidates must be able to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative research with client needs in mind. Good communication skills necessary as is the ability to write. Candidates must be proactive thinkers who can handle multiple projects at once. Must be able to meet tight deadlines.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>Passion for research, pop culture, and trends. Interest in learning spectrum of research techniques including media research tools such as Nielsen systems (Galaxy Explorer and National TV Toolbox a plus), MRI, Simmons, IAG, comScore. Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).</p>
<p>Required:</p>
<p>Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Communications, Media Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or English</td>
