Are you a hotshot creative in a hot-shop ad agency? Are you successful, appreciated by your colleagues and bosses, and perhaps given a title and the position of “Senior” or even “Vice Creative Director ”? And yet, does running the entire creative department, let alone an agency seem like another reality, lest some of your superiors suddenly disappear, e.g. in a terrible plane crash on their way to Cannes? In other words, are you faced with a Class Ceiling, and looking for a way to unleash your full potential?
So were we, two years ago. “We” means Kristiaan, Fabrice and Piet, 3 media and advertising guys, full of ambition and guts, but frustrated with the situation we were in. After all, our agency GERMAINE had talented people, nice clients, a long history. And yet, its potential never really broke trough. And as the second agency of the international BBDO network in a small country like Belgium, we were looking at our own Glass Ceiling.
So we broke away beginning of 2007, and are now a fully independent Antwerp-based agency. Since then we’ve been improving our creative standards, optimizing our agency, finding the right people, and, as a result, raking in clients in the last months. We’re now working for clients such as IKEA, Campina, Q8, Tele2, Samsung, World Wildlife Fund, and many others. We’re constantly pitching (and very regularly winning from) big creative agencies such as DuvalGuillaume, TBWA, LG&F/Famous, but are admittedly not in the same league … yet. Commercially nor creatively. But for that latter we’re looking at you.
At you, yes. Because we’re looking for a Creative Director to help us move to the next level of creativity in our output. So …
