OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE AN IMPACT
The Brand + New Ventures Analyst role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a small, creative, fun, fast-moving, high-growth company and have a significant impact on the business. We’re looking for someone who can support us in two key areas: Brand Analysis and Strategic Partnerships / New Ventures. The two components of the role will ensure that this role has tremendous exposure and interacts regularly with functional teams across the business.

In the brand analysis arena, we’re seeking someone to help us improve our analytical insight to ensure that we’re making data driven decisions across all of the categories in which we play. The Brand + New Ventures Analyst will have the opportunity to lead a series of ad hoc business analytics projects designed to help support Method’s rapid growth and evolution. These projects may include: market sizing, pricing studies, margin analyses, and competitive landscape studies. You may also be asked to help to design and conduct market surveys, focus groups, or other qualitative + quantitative market research to help us better understand the Method consumer.

As the Method brand equity grows, we also have an opportunity to selectively leverage our brand to develop innovative new revenue streams to accelerate growth. We are just beginning to realize this tremendous opportunity, and are looking for the right person to help us more effectively evaluate core business opportunities and assist in navigating the partnership landscape. Partnership opportunities are expected to increase going forward, making this position a critical hire.

This role offers incredible stimulation, a variety of experiences, exposure to virtually every part of the business, and the opportunity to interface with executive management at Method. It represents a unique blending of analytical skills and strategic thinking, and then extends these into real-world business and partnership execution.

SO, WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is passionate about the following things:

• cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit and building a business and an iconic brand
• making data-driven, strategic decisions that have a broad business impact
• building strong and lasting relationships – both inside and outside method

What functional experience does a Brand + New Ventures Analyst bring?
• 2 - 4 years of consulting or investment banking experience (pre-MBA) with a top-tier firm or in-house corporate or strategic planning / analysis
• Deep expertise in solving complex problems and delivering insight through business research + analytics
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a rapidly evolving and highly dynamic entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to think creatively and critically as an individual while working effectively with a team
• Outstanding communication skills – both oral and written
• Proven track record in defining, modeling, and valuing business scenarios

Key Responsibilities include:
• Conduct market and company-specific research + analysis, deliver in-depth company/competitive landscape assessments
• Help develop framework for evaluating partnership opportunities, including size of opportunity, potential strengths + weaknesses, and business risks
• Work with marketing, product development and leadership teams to prioritize new revenue opportunities and to maximize profitable growth
• Assist with development and maintenance of a healthy partnership pipeline
• Develop and help present business cases (including NPV and ROI calculations) to support partnership proposals and recommendations to leadership team
• Provide analytical and strategic support to leadership team and marketing organization
