The job

We are looking for a smart, talented, seasoned agency professional for our full-time, account manager/supervisor position in our San Francisco, California office. If you don’t have a minimum of four to five years of experience working in the account department AT AN ADVERTISING AGENCY, please do not respond. In this position, you will handle direct, day-to-day management of clients and our small, yet feisty account team. Specifically, you will:

• Manage and mentor all account staff and other team members.
• Charm, support, and wrangle multiple clients.
• Do the kind of work and be the kind of person that builds great relationships.
• Supervise the strategic direction and development of accounts.
• Write brand platforms and marketing plans.
• Speak and write in ways that make other people nod their heads in passionate agreement.
• Oversee project budget and billing management.
• Manage account staff and agency resources in day-to-day project workflow.
• Help build a top-notch account team over time, with current staff and future hires.

The right candidate

You need to be highly organized, energetic, skilled at building trust and confidence, passionate about branding and advertising, and able to handle the usual pressures associated with a highly productive, innovative small agency. Qualifications:
• 4-5+ years working in a medium to large advertising agency account department. • Skilled at managing multiple projects for several communication mediums, including most or all of the following: Web, print, collateral, outdoor, radio, television, point of sale, and direct mail. • Proven success in managing clients, account teams, expectations, and impossible schedules. • Dynamic leadership, project management, and collaboration skills. • Thorough knowledge of the creative and production process for Web/interactive and printed collateral. • Ability to demonstrate accomplishments with formal marketing systems (strategic brand development, strategic planning, market research) and traditional agency functional areas (media, production, research). • Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Superior knowledge of PC & Mac OS’s and MS Office.
