Senior Designer, Fitch

SUMMARY
Responsible for leading the creative effort on communication design and branding projects from discovery through delivery.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Develop innovative, strategy-driven design solutions that meet project objectives as established by the client, account managers, and creative directors.
Provide creative leadership and mentoring to designers through hands-on work, collaboration, and critiques.
Attend client meetings; prepare and deliver presentations.
Work with account managers to manage schedules, logistics, resources, and deliverables.
Direct photographers and other external resources.
Work with electronic and digital production to manage implementation and ensure high quality standards.
Review proofs and attend press checks.
QUALIFICATIONS
An undergraduate (bachelor's) degree in Graphic Design or related field
6-8 years' industry experience, including project and team management experience
A portfolio that exhibits a strong ability in one or more of the following areas: branding systems and corporate identity, interactive design, long-form narrative design (corporate collateral, editorial design, annual reports), and packaging design.
Strategic vision with ability to establish creative direction and develop/guide multiple design solutions
Excellent ability to articulately communicate concepts-both verbally and in writing-to design teams, project managers, and clients
Strong understanding of industry, trends, opportunities, and clients
Excellent communication, listening, and observation skills
Proactive, flexible self-starter with good business and management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within short time frames
Thorough knowledge of digital prepress processes as well as printing processes
High level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Excellent craft and comping skills
